1. Infrastructure & Providers
OnePoundEmail is built on top of MXroute, a specialist email hosting infrastructure provider with a strong track record of reliability. MXroute handles the underlying mail servers, storage, spam filtering, and delivery infrastructure that powers every OnePoundEmail account.
This means the technical backbone of your email service is not reliant solely on OnePoundEmail as an individual operator -it is underpinned by an established, independent business with its own redundancy and support systems.
2. Payment Schedule
OnePoundEmail maintains multiple active service agreements with MXroute, paid annually in advance. The current payment schedule is as follows:
- Infrastructure Package 1 Renews annually - next payment due 26th March 2027
- Infrastructure Package 2 Renews annually - next payment due 30th November 2026
- Infrastructure Package 3 Renews annually - next payment due 1st January 2027
- Infrastructure Package 4 Renews annually - next payment due 1st January 2027
All payments are made annually in advance, meaning your service is covered well ahead of each renewal date with no risk of month-to-month lapses.
3. Domain Renewals
The domains used to operate OnePoundEmail are registered and renewed in advance. The current renewal schedule is:
- onepoundemail.co.uk Registered until 8th August 2026
- onepound.email Registered until 4th August 2027
- onepoundemail.com Registered until 3rd August 2028
Domain renewals are monitored and processed well ahead of their expiry dates to ensure no interruption occurs due to an expired domain.
4. Provider Disruption
In the unlikely event that MXroute becomes unable to provide services, the following steps would be taken:
- Customers would be notified as soon as possible via email and any available communication channels.
- An alternative email infrastructure provider would be sourced and onboarded as quickly as possible.
- Every effort would be made to migrate existing mailboxes and data to the new provider with minimal disruption.
- DNS records would be updated to point to the new infrastructure once ready.
5. Business Continuity
OnePoundEmail is operated as a long-term service. In the event that the service can no longer be operated for any reason, the following commitments apply:
- Customers will receive a minimum of 30 days written notice before any planned closure or transfer of service.
- A pro-rata refund will be issued for any unused portion of a paid billing period.
- Customers will be provided with guidance on exporting their email data and migrating to an alternative provider.
- Service will remain active throughout the notice period to allow adequate time to migrate.
6. Service Integrity
To protect the quality of service for all customers, OnePoundEmail screens new sign-ups against FraudRecord, an industry-wide abuse reporting database used by hosting providers worldwide. Any applicant with a history of abuse, spam, or fraudulent activity may be refused service without explanation.
Where an existing account is found to be in violation of our Terms and Conditions or Acceptable Use Policy, we reserve the right to suspend or terminate the account immediately and without prior notice. Confirmed abusers are reported back to FraudRecord to protect other providers in the ecosystem.
These measures exist to keep our upstream provider relationships in good standing and to ensure that legitimate customers are not impacted by the actions of bad actors on the platform.
7. Our Commitments to You
- All upstream services are paid annually in advance -no risk of month-to-month payment lapses affecting your service.
- Domain names are maintained and renewed ahead of schedule.
- In any disruptive scenario, communication with customers is our first priority.
- We will never simply disappear - you will always be given the opportunity to migrate your data when circumstances allow.
