SMTP / Sending Issues

If you’re having trouble sending emails with OnePoundEmail, check these common causes:

1. Authentication Errors

Make sure your email client is set up with the correct SMTP username and password. Authentication failures will prevent sending.

2. Correct SMTP Server and Port

Use the correct SMTP server address and port from your welcome email or documentation. Common ports are 465 (SSL), 587 (STARTTLS), or 25.

3. SPF Record Setup

Ensure your domain’s SPF record includes OnePoundEmail servers. Without this, some servers may reject your outbound email.

4. Rate Limits and Blocks

Avoid sending too many emails in a short time to prevent rate limits or blocks. Sending bulk or marketing emails is not permitted.

5. From Address Matches Domain

Make sure your “From” email address matches your domain. Sending from unauthorized domains may cause rejection.

6. Test with a Different Client or Network

Try sending from a different email client or network to isolate the issue.

7. Contact Support

If problems persist, provide error messages and email client details to support for help.
